Before Tom Lingard brought his car to SS Audio, his door speakers were exposed and there was shiny blue stuff around 'em. After we were done with his car, Tom won some trophies.

Tom is the important part of this project. He owns the car. He sourced and purchased the products. He researched rules, regulations, dates, times, and paid entry fees for the car shows. He has spent many nights and days in hotel rooms and on the road, traveling to car shows. And I don't mean just in 2009. There is a learning curve, and Tom has travelled it's length.
From enthusiast to competitor to winner.

Tom is the guy at the car show who stands proudly by his car, all day long answering questions and showing what he brought. Pretty much the polar opposite of "a hater", Tom encourages everyone to give it a shot, and doesn't have a bad word to say about any of the competitors. Quick to demo his car for anyone who wants to hear it, Tom made a strong impression on a lot of people at the USACI World Finals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Word was going around about the little blue car that was really loud AND sounded good.

Tom brought this car to SS Audio with a functioning stereo system. It was done, and he had been taking it to shows. Tom wanted to repair, replace, and change a few things to help him create better sound, louder sound, and earn extra points at the stereo competitions. Using the equipment he brought to us, we installed and/or replaced two batteries, four amplifiers, two pairs of front door speakers, center channel speaker, five fuse holders, reinstalled his radio, and rebuilt his front door panels.

So I finish the installation with a couple quick twists of the amplifier gain controls and give the keys back to Tom. He takes it home, puts a bunch of clean on it and over the next week or so tweaks the system settings to his liking.
The day before he drives it to finals, he stops by SS Audio for about 1/2 hour and I spend another twenty minutes or so commenting on the changes he made and adding a few of my own. Tom smiles. It's ready.
The next time I hear from Tom, he is an hour outside of Las Vegas on his way back from winning trophies so big he had to take them apart to fit them into his car. And he blames it on SS Audio.
